To get to the observation deck closest to Mount Yari and the Hotaka mountain range, take the No. 1 Ropeway from Shinhotaka Onsen Station to Nabedaira Kogen Station, then transfer to the No. 2 Ropeway and ascend all the way to the final stop, Nishihotakaguchi Station. The ropeway boasts a total length of 3,200m and an elevation difference of 1,039m, making for an impressive ride!
The first ropeway is entirely made of glass, and the second ropeway is the first in Japan to have a large double-decker gondola, allowing you to enjoy a stroll through the air. Be sure to experience the excitement of "I can't believe the mountains are so close!"
