Hirayu Otaki Falls, with a drop of 64 meters and a width of 6 meters, is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Hida and has also been selected as one of Japan's 2 best waterfalls. It shows off beautiful expressions in every season, and every February the Hirayu Otaki Ice Festival is held, where the frozen waterfall is lit up.
